Service Description

The deep tissue style of massage is recommended when access to deeper layers of muscle and soft tissue is required. In addition to the hands, the therapist may employ techniques that involve the use of the forearms and elbows to provide relief of neuromuscular pain by accessing specific points on the body called "trigger points". This form of massage is quite effective but there are some contraindications which your therapist will discuss with you in detail prior to scheduling. There may be some temporary residual soreness after the session. We highly recommend several sessions of Swedish massage prior to scheduling a Deep Tissue Massage.
